A Wolf Called Romeo, by Nick Jans, is the true story of a wolf who befriended dogs and their humans, in suburban Juneau, Alaska, from 2003 to 2009. Just about Jeoffry’s favorite books ever. The Elephant Whisperer by Lawrence Anthony is the true story of a conservationist who saved a herd of elephants in Zululand, South Africa. Anthony’s writing is not at all maudlin or sentimental, nor is most of the story sad, but somehow, about halfway through I started tearing up, and couldn’t stop. You just come to love the elephants, and the land, and you get so emotionally involved. Will definitely make you want to go to Africa. Read our review here.

Coyote America by Dan Flores is both an educational and entertaining account of the history of America’s most quintessential and resilient wild animal.  Read our review here.
